Corinne Dobbas, MS, RD
Hi, I’m Corinne. I’m a registered dietitian, nutrition therapist, and certified intuitive eating counselor with nearly a decade of experience in Marin County, California. I specialize in helping clients break free from the mental, emotional, and physical toll of chronic dieting, various levels of disordered eating, and body image concerns – as well as nutrition and body image healing work in eating disorder recovery. Ultimately, I help clients nurture a caring and compassionate relationship with food and their bodies through a non-weight focused, non-diet approach.
I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults at my office in Mill Valley, California and online via a secure video platform. In my client sessions, I create a safe, judgement free, therapeutic space where you can come, process, and learn how to kindly be with (and in) your body. And where you can learn how to cultivate an enjoyable, healthy, and nourishing relationship with food. In our work together, you’ll gain an understanding of how to truly listen, connect, and care for your body and yourself.
I reached out to Corinne after 20 years of dieting and binging, hoping to find a better way to interact with food. Corinne helped me not only examine my relationship with food, but all aspects of my life; helping me learn to intuitively care for myself physically and mentally. During every meeting I felt safe, valued, and heard. She found the perfect balance of supporting me while also challenging me to identify my beliefs, needs, and goals. Life is so much more enjoyable since working with Corinne. She is an absolute joy to work with and I highly recommend her!”
The Different Ways
We Can Work Together
1:1 Nutrition & Body Image Counseling
Personal counseling is the most intimate and individualized way to begin making peace with food and your body. If you’re ready to nurture a healthy relationship with food and build a caring relationship with your body, I can help – no dieting, willpower, or food rules required.
1:1 Eating Disorder Nutrition Therapy
Eating disorder recovery takes a village, but not just any village. A village of people who you trust and in my opinion, who you genuinely like. I’d be honored to be one of those people, as you make peace with food and your body, and as you heal. In eating disorder nutrition therapy, I work with individuals who are in recovery from an eating disorder, and who want to nourish a healthy relationship with food, mind, and body.
Online Support Groups
Groups offer a powerful space where you can process, learn, and connect with others who are going through what you’re going through. And that alone can feel incredibly healing. Currently, I’m offering two online, 6-week support groups. The two groups are: 1.) The Binge Eating & Embodiment Support Group; 2.) The Eating Disorder Recovery Support Group for Teens. If you’d like details for either group, please click the “learn more” button below.
As someone who has been there done that with diets, I knew restrictive diets made me rebel and binge. I cannot even begin to list all the changes I’ve noticed since working with Corinne. I have never felt so strong and secure in my own body, and I give her so much credit for that change. I absolutely would recommend her. I am 100% certain that I would have never achieved my breakthroughs without Corinne’s guidance. Corinne’s genuine compassion paired with her wealth of knowledge and experience is just what I needed after everything else had failed me far too many times. She connected the dots between nutrition, emotion, and confidence to achieve my success.”
The only hesitation I had in working with Corinne was whether or not I was ready to take on such extensive reflection. I think that the question of “Am I ready to change?” was my only roadblock. Since working with Corinne, I’ve stopped a yearlong binging cycle in its tracks and while I’ve had “slips” along the way, my bouncing back has been much faster than days past. The most noticeable change has been that I can feel beautiful at any weight. That idea doesn’t resonate every hour of every day, but it certainly has come more frequently since we started working together. Corinne helped me see that I was worth it, that I didn’t have to do anything perfectly, and that changing was a gradual thing that doesn’t really ever end. Thank you for showing up for me, Corinne. This has been an incredible foundation-building journey and your patience and advocacy for me have been incredibly humbling.”
Corinne is truly amazing at what she does. I used to have an eating disorder but she helped me to learn how to eat intuitively, have a better self esteem, and have better self love for myself and my body. You won’t be disappointed if you work with her. She is genuinely sweet and cares about how you’re doing. I would recommend her to anyone recovering from an eating disorder, wanting to have a healthier relationship with food without dieting, and who needs some help loving themselves and their body. Can’t give her enough praise.
